Honoring Former Sergeant Mike Logue

On behalf of Sheriff Gino Brantley and the entire Richmond County Sheriff’s Office, we take this moment to honor the life, service, and legacy of former Sergeant Mike Logue.

Sergeant Logue courageously battled cancer following his retirement in 2023 and passed away earlier today. His strength, perseverance, and unwavering spirit during his fight reflected the same courage and dedication he demonstrated throughout his distinguished career.

Sgt. Logue began his career with the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office on June 15, 1984, and was promoted to Sergeant on August 12, 1990. Over the course of nearly 40 years of service, he faithfully served the citizens of Augusta-Richmond County with professionalism, integrity, and commitment to the values of law enforcement.

He was respected not only as a leader but also as a mentor and friend to many within the department. Sgt. Logue’s legacy will continue to inspire those who serve, reminding us all of the profound impact one individual can make through a life of service and compassion.

Our hearts and prayers are with Sgt. Logue’s family, friends, and former colleagues during this time of loss. His memory will forever remain a part of the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office and the community he so faithfully protected.

Rest in peace, Sergeant Mike Logue. Your service, courage, and dedication will never be forgotten.
