One Dead in Fiery Head-On Crash With Garbage Truck in Lincoln County
Authorities are investigating a fatal head-on collision in Lincoln County that left one person dead after a fiery crash involving a garbage truck.
According to law enforcement, the crash occurred earlier today when a passenger vehicle and a garbage truck collided head-on along a rural stretch of roadway. The impact caused the smaller vehicle to catch fire, resulting in significant damage.
Emergency crews from multiple agencies responded to the scene and worked quickly to extinguish the flames. Sadly, one person was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the garbage truck was evaluated by medics and is cooperating with investigators.
