Ellis, 38, of Florence, Alabama, whose life was tragically taken following a devastating crash in Lauderdale County on Monday afternoon. According to authorities, the tragic accident occurred just after 3:00 p.m. along Alabama 17 near the 338 mile-marker. Brittney was driving her 2012 Nissan Rogue when the vehicle was involved in a head-on collision with another car. Emergency responders and state troopers quickly arrived at the scene, but despite their efforts, Brittney sadly succumbed to her injuries.

The driver of the other vehicle was injured and transported to North Alabama Medical Center for treatment. Three young passengers in that vehicle — a 16-year-old, a 10-year-old, and a 1-year-old child — were also injured and taken to the hospital. As the investigation into the crash continues, many are keeping the injured individuals and their families in their thoughts and prayers.
