FAIRFAX COUNTY, Va. — The Fairfax community is mourning the tragic loss of Michelle Adams, 39, who was fatally injured in a devastating road rage attack along Interstate 495 on Sunday, March 1, 2026. Known for her warmth, compassion, and dedication to her family and friends, Michelle’s life was cut far too short in a senseless act of violence that has left loved ones grappling with shock and sorrow.
According to the Virginia State Police, the violent incident unfolded in the southbound lanes near Exit 52, following what authorities described as a crash that escalated into a deadly confrontation. Michelle was among multiple victims attacked during the incident. Sadly, a dog who was also present did not survive. Three others — Dana Bonnell, 36; Mary C. Flood, 37; and Heather Miller, 40 — were hospitalized with serious injuries.
Michelle’s life was one of love, kindness, and generosity. Those who knew her remember her as a devoted friend, a loving family member, and a source of unwavering support for those around her.
