In Loving Memory of Colby Chase

In Loving Memory of Colby Chase

With broken hearts and deep sorrow, we remember and honor the life of Colby Chase, 22, whose life was tragically cut short following a motorcycle crash in Nashville, Tennessee.

According to the Metro Nashville Police Department, the crash occurred Saturday evening around 6 p.m. on Highway 100 at Edwin Warner Park. Preliminary investigations indicate that Colby was traveling along Highway 100 when a BMW SUV was making a left turn out of the park. The motorcycle struck the driver’s side of the vehicle. Authorities reported that the driver told police he did not see the motorcyclist before the collision. The investigation remains ongoing.

Colby was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center with critical injuries. Despite the efforts of medical professionals, he later succumbed to those injuries. A second motorcyclist sustained minor injuries after laying his bike down in an attempt to avoid the crash.

While these details outline the tragic circumstances of that evening, they cannot begin to capture the fullness of who Colby was — a young man with dreams, passions, and a life filled with promise.

A Life Fueled by Passion

At 22 years old, Colby stood at the beginning of what should have been a long and fulfilling journey. Those who knew him understood his love for the open road — the freedom, the wind, the sense of adventure that riding brought into his life. Motorcycling was more than a hobby; it was part of who he was.

But beyond his love for riding, Colby was a son, a friend, a brother, and a bright spirit in the lives of many. He was someone who shared laughter easily, who showed up for the people he cared about, and who embraced life with youthful courage and determination.

Remembering His Spirit

Colby’s presence carried energy and warmth. Friends will remember the sound of his voice, the way he smiled, the conversations that lasted longer than expected, and the moments that now feel far too few. His family will forever cherish the milestones they celebrated with him — from childhood memories to the proud moments of watching him grow into the man he was becoming.

He was 22 — an age filled with ambition, exploration, and hope. Though his time here was brief, the impact he made in those years will echo for a lifetime.

A Community in Mourning

The Nashville community grieves alongside Colby’s loved ones. Tragedies like this serve as painful reminders of how fragile life can be. One moment on an ordinary Saturday evening changed everything.

As the Metro Nashville Police Department continues its investigation, we are reminded to cherish every moment and to extend compassion and care to those facing unimaginable loss.

Holding His Loved Ones Close

To Colby’s family and friends — no words can fully ease the pain of this loss. But may you find strength in the love that surrounds you. May you find comfort in shared memories. May you feel the support of a community that mourns with you.

Colby’s journey on this earth may have ended, but his story does not. It lives on in every memory told, every photograph held close, and every ride taken in his honor.

Rest peacefully, Colby Chase.

May the road rise gently beneath you, and may your spirit ride free forever.
