On that day, around 2:15 p.m., emergency crews—including the Rineyville Fire Department, Flaherty Fire Department, Hardin County EMS, the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office, and the Kentucky State Police—responded swiftly to a serious crash along Rineyville-Big Springs Road. The accident involved motorcycles and a car, and upon arrival, first responders found Billy suffering from severe injuries, including significant head trauma.

Despite the immediate and determined efforts to save him, Billy lost his pulse at the scene. He was transported to Baptist Health Hardin, where medical personnel continued to fight for his life. Tragically, he was later pronounced deceased.

The driver of the car involved remained at the scene, and at this time, no charges are expected. Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash, seeking clarity and understanding in the wake of this heartbreaking event.
