Woman Dies Following Serious Crash on Bussell Highway
Bussell Highway has been reopened between Harmans Mill Road and Metricup Road after being closed for several hours following a serious crash earlier today.
Emergency services responded swiftly to the scene, where a 53-year-old woman, the driver of a Subaru, was found with critical injuries. She was airlifted to Royal Perth Hospital, but sadly, she later died as a result of her injuries.
Authorities worked to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash while ensuring the safety of motorists in the area. Traffic diversions were in place during the response and investigation, but the roadway has since been cleared and reopened to the public.
Police have extended their condolences to the woman’s family and are urging anyone who may have witnessed the collision or has dashcam footage from the area to contact Crime Stoppers to assist with the ongoing investigation.
