Firefighters Respond to Medical Emergency Turned House Fire in Millsboro
MILLSBORO, Del. — The Indian River Volunteer Fire Company responded to a dramatic incident on the morning of October 25, after an emergency call for a medical situation quickly escalated into a residential structure fire.
According to the department, crews were initially alerted to a medical emergency involving burn injuries, but upon arrival, the situation was upgraded when firefighters discovered the home was on fire.
Multiple fire companies assisted in containing the blaze, and emergency medical personnel provided immediate care to the injured individual. The extent of the injuries and the cause of the fire have not yet been released.
