Body Found in Lake Winnebago After Report of Suspicious Items in Oshkosh
OSHKOSH, Wis. — Authorities are investigating after a man’s body was discovered in Lake Winnebago on Friday following reports of suspicious items floating offshore.
According to the Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to the area after receiving a call about unusual objects seen in the water near Oshkosh. Upon arrival, they located the body of a deceased man.
The identity of the victim has not yet been released pending notification of family members. Investigators are working to determine how the man ended up in the lake and whether foul play was involved.
