The Horry County Coroner’s Office confirmed that Jacob passed away from injuries sustained in the accident. This devastating loss has left family, friends, and the Murrells Inlet community grieving deeply and searching for comfort in the midst of this tragedy.
The crash occurred around 6:30 a.m. along Highway 17 Business at the intersection of Inlet Square Drive. According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, Jacob was riding his 2023 KTM motorcycle when a 2024 Ford SUV traveling north attempted to turn left onto Inlet Square Drive. The vehicles collided, resulting in injuries to Jacob that sadly proved fatal. The driver of the SUV was unharmed, but the impact of this incident will forever be felt by all who knew and loved Jacob.
