Morgan County Sheriff’s Office Investigating Fatal Crash on Highway 67
MORGAN COUNTY, Ind. — The Morgan County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a tragic accident that occurred on Highway 67 in the Paragon area.
According to investigators, the crash happened when a car traveling northbound struck a deer. The impact caused the deer to be thrown into the southbound lanes, where it struck another vehicle. Tragically, a passenger in that vehicle was killed.
Authorities have not yet released the identity of the victim pending notification of next of kin. The driver of the second vehicle and others involved were treated at the scene.
The incident remains under investigation by the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office and crash reconstruction teams. Drivers are urged to use caution, especially in areas where wildlife is common along the roadway.
