83-Year-Old Man Found Dead After Stabbing in Royal Oak; Suspect Detained
ROYAL OAK, Mich. — An 83-year-old man was found dead Friday night following a stabbing inside a Royal Oak home, according to police.
Officers responded to the residence after receiving reports of a disturbance. When they arrived, they discovered the elderly victim inside the home suffering from fatal stab wounds.
A 35-year-old woman, who police say had blood on her hands, was detained after a brief foot chase. Investigators confirmed that the suspect was known to the victim and had been a guest in the home at the time of the incident.
Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the stabbing, and charges are expected to be filed as the case develops.
